    Motivation can be defined as the driving force behind all the actions of an individual. The influence of an individual's needs and desires both have a strong impact on the direction of their behavior. Motivation is based on your emotions and achievement-related goals. There are different forms of motivation including extrinsic, intrinsic, physiological, and achievement motivation. There are also more negative forms of motivation. Achievement motivation can be defined as the need for success or the attainment of excellence. Individuals will satisfy their needs through different means, and are driven to succeed for varying reasons both internal and external.

    If you picked up a copy of Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine this month you probably got to see that I am the Cover girl… woohoo! (The emotion is hard to contain… hahaha!) I am so excited to be featured on the cover and even more to be able to represent my little Island Puerto Rico. A lot of you ask me how do I stay motivated or push through a bad day so I thought I'd share this with you.

    Today I totally lived up to the message of my shirt “Push Past Pain.” I woke up this morning and my body was aching all over, the rainy weather here isn't helping. I pushed through my first workout of the day with frustration and negative thoughts but made it through anyway. I felt crappy and didn't know if I could be able to do my evening workout.
