My name is Jack, I’m 12 years old, and I suffer from a tree nut allergy. Since my diagnosis a little over a year ago, I have been very frustrated by people’s ignorance about life threatening food allergies. People simply don’t understand that food can be deadly. My friends, my extended family, food workers, and sometimes even teachers don’t understand the threat that food allergies pose to people like me. I knew I had to do something about the issue, which not only affects me, but one in every 13 kids under the age of 18.
