Fruit roll-ups or fruit leather is an awesome snack for kids! But we either find 2 major problems…. many fruits roll-ups or leather contain food dyes and high fructose corn syrup, to name two ingredients that our family tries to avoid…. or you try to buy natural fruit roll-ups or fruit leather and they are so incredibly expensive.
The non-trademarked name for store-bought “fruit roll ups” is fruit leather. Store-bought fruit snacks contain artificial dyes, GMO corn syrup, GMO hydrogenated oils, natural flavors (MSG?), monoglycerides and GMO dextrose (aka corn sugar). Not exactly a fun way to enjoy fruit.
Who knew it was so easy to make at home? With two ingredients, a couple supplies already in your kitchen, and a 3-hour hands-free wait, the whole family can enjoy this guilt-free dessert.

Which is a good thing as this is also the most popular. I made strawberry, blueberry and a mixture of strawberry/blueberry in this round of fruit roll-ups.
