ear-of-corn-detail-stock-620pxHere’s why Monsanto or any other GMO driven companies are not acceptable to be used for food productions; firstly, they are made from the lab, which is too absurd for something to be eaten by humans, they are incorporated them with different kinds of chemicals, most of them are toxic and are very much harmful to us, secondly, the reported side effects that some people get from their products are growing, this could only mean that GM foods do not signify an absolute safety toward the consumers. People are coming out to speak against this Giant Key player. Thirdly, their crops are a threat to nature, they destroy the natural minerals found in our soil, not only that; harmful organism are coming out from the crops because of the pesticides they are using adverse effect are rampant. There are even studies that bees are greatly affected, they became sickly after the insects have come in contact with GM crops.
The government is very passive about the things that have occurred around involving Monsanto, It is affecting the natural state of our crops, instead of investigating these events, and they are out of the country busy promoting GM products to other nations thought ties and diplomatic grounds. On a recent event, El Salvador has come to terms with Monsanto’s promoter –the U.S. government. President of the El Salvadoran Center for Appropriate Technologies (CESTA), Ricardo Navarro, had said:

“I would like to tell the U.S. Ambassador to stop pressuring the Government (of El Salvador) to buy ‘improved’ GM seeds,” said Navarro, which is only of benefit to U.S. multinationals and is to the detriment of local seed production. “
In recent weeks, the U.S. has been pushing the El Salvadoran Government to sign the second Millennium Challenge Compact. One of the main conditions on the agreement is allegedly for the purchasing of GM seeds from Monsanto.
